黃慧妍，二○○四年畢業於香港中文大學藝術系。她擅長把生活化的細碎轉化為藝術概念，並運用不起眼的東西作題材。這次她利用紙雕塑的形式，憑藉女性角度重塑一個男性工作間，嘗試顛覆性別的既定觀念。
這個《工作室系列》的靈感，黃慧妍表示是來自一位男性藝術家朋友的工作室，希望反映男女藝術家工作模式的不同之處，所以手推車、電鑽、工具箱等原本充滿陽剛氣的男性化工具，黃便利用紙張質感柔軟的特性，融合女性的陰柔美，彰顯兩性的情感差異。黃表示：「『軟』是一種很特別的感覺，透過紙張的重塑，物件已經失去原有功能，只剩下似是而非的外觀，徘徊於真實與虛構之間。」
女人眼中真實世界
社會只存在兩種性別，卻毫無單調乏味的感覺，因為每人對社會價值觀都有不同的詮釋。現今社會的價值觀漸趨複雜與扭曲，以純粹的藝術角度觀察社會現象並非易事。張啟新和謝淑婷兩位藝術家，就以各自的方式表達出裝置背後那份堅定的信念，並希望透過藝術與大眾一同分享其內心世界。
Doris Wong is a conceptual artist, graduated from Chinese university of Hong Kong. Instead of using drawing, Doris prefers use some special ways to express her idea. Take her art work-Weapons don’t hurt / Daily objects hurt as an example. The media of this art work is a short movie. In this movie, she used paper to make some daily objects, and use these “daily objects” to hurt her. In my own perspective, I think this art work is talking about the dangerous of our daily object. However, people seldom use this daily objects with caution. I think that this is a funny way to express the idea.
回复删除Doris Wong’s art works are quite impress me. I really like her artwork- I’m not a plastic bag too. This art work mock the people who blindly peruse high class brand name. In reality, although the product “I’m not a plastic bag” seems to promote eco-awareness, the customers were just peruse the brand name without thinking about the concept behind. In this art work, she used acrylic and canvas to imitate the plastic bag of a cheaper brand to reflect on the event. It worth asking that will the customers still buy “I’m not a plastic bag too” with a cheaper brand name?
Moreover, I like her artwork “The contribution of Modern Art” too. In this art work, she makes the product in which she copies the other artwork. For example, a Matisse calendar. In my own perspective, I this that this art work is mocking about the copy problem nowadays
. Nowadays, there is a lot of product imitating the modern art work. It seems that the contribution of Modern Art is creating something for people to copy.
